Hemanti Sarkar is an Indian film editor who works in Hindi films and documentaries. She has worked in Bollywood movies like English Vinglish, M Cream, Airlift, and many others. Hemanti hails from Kolkata in West Bengal. She started a film editing course at the Film Institute of India in Pune, Maharashtra in 1993. Hemanti made her Bollywood debut as an assistant editor with the movie Pardes, written and directed by Subhash Ghai. She was the production director in Mission Majnu (2023). Shantanu Bagchi directed Mission Majnu. Parveez Sheikh, Aseem Arrora and, Sumit Batheja wrote Mission Majnu. Ghosh was also the production director of the TV series Khakee: The Bihar Chapter (2022). It stars Karan Tacker, Avinash Tiwary and, Nikita Dutta. Ghosh was the production designer of Zwigato (2022). Nandita Das directed Zwigato. It stars Kapil Sharma, Shahana Goswami and, Tushar Acharya. Ghosh was nominated for Best Production Design for the film Sonchiriya (2019). She was also nominated for Best Production Design for Manto (2018).

First leap has shown their grown up adopted daughter Purvi who get has love marriage with Arjun Kirlosker. Arjun was the son of Manav’s best friend Digvejay Kirlosker. The second generation leap covers the story of their granddaughter Ankita. Ankita gets married to the Narankarmarker.
Karishma belongs to Shila Vihar a place in Ahmad Nagar. She moves to Mumbai after getting a chance in “Pavitra Rishta” She is a student and doing her post-graduation from Ahmad Nagar. Therefore she was absent from some episodes because of her exams.
Over all she is a good actress but some sources complaint about her nonprofessional attitude. Some days she had some clashes with Balaji productions also. But as an actor she is nice one in performing art.
