Chirag Patil

Chirag Patil is an actor and was first seen on a daily soap called ‘Karam Apnaa Apnaa’ which was produced by Ekta Kapoor under Balaji Telefilms. Chirag, who made his debut when he was just twenty, is the son of Former Cricketer and current Indian Team Selector 'Sandeep Patil'. Unlike his father, Chirag chose acting as his career, and it did not turn out to be a disaster as his father claims of his acting debut. In 2007, Chirag started his acting stint as a negative character in the daily soap Karam Apnaa Apnaa. Opting acting over cricket, his father says he has no disappointment in that decision of his. Chirag had all the support and Godfathers needed for him to be launched in the industry since his father was popular and had friends in the cinema and television industry. In fact, Chirag’s first show also had Sandeep’s friend ‘Salil Ankola’, a Cricketer turned Actor in it. Chirag drifted from television to the big picture of acting in movies. But in 2012, Chirag along with his brother thought of starting their production house and start making movies on their own. These two put their heads together and planned a horror flick called ‘Villa’. Simultaneously, Chirag was cast in some good movies like ‘Wake Up India’ and ‘Le Gaya Saddam’. He is a multi-faceted actor, and hence we find his debut in Marathi films like ‘Raada Rox’, which he also produced, but it did not run well at the box office. Chirag also made his small screen debut in Marathi serials as well in 2015. In this show called ‘Yek Number’, he plays the role of a goon, rowdy kind of a character, which apparently is opposite to Chirag’s real life scenario. The show has a backdrop of engineering college and filled with youth energy and focuses on the conflict of interest of the leads. This show gives a perfect platform for Chirag to exploit his acting skills backed by a solid story. Chirag got a great learning opportunity while working for 'Dev Anand' directed film ‘Chargesheet’. Chirag appeared in the lead role, and it got him the necessary exposure through this movie. Chirag has established himself well in both Hindi and Marathi languages. Coming to his personal life, Chirag got engaged to Salil Ankola’s daughter (from first wife Parineeta) Sana on 9th of May 2016 in Mumbai.  Chirag looks forward to acting in both Hindi and Marathi movies and also daily soaps.
