Ganesh Acharya is an Indian choreographer, who is mainly seen in Hindi films. His father Gopi was also a choreographer in Bollywood. When Ganesh Acharya was ten years old, his father died. His sister was at Cuttack and he went there and learnt basic dance from his sister. Later, he joined as an assistant to Kamalji, the famous choreographer. At the young age of 12, he started his own dance troupe. Anaam was his first film as a choreographer. It was released in 1992 and Ganesh Acharya was 21 years, when he became a choreographer for films. He got the Best choreographer Award for the film Lajja in the year 2001. He has also won the Zee TV Award for the best Choreographer for the movie Khaki in 2004. In 2007, his movie Omkara bagged him with the Filmfare Award. He became very famous and the popular Bollywood stars are comfortable with his dance movements and recommended him for their movies. In the year 2006, he was roped by 5 big films and all of them were made hit.

Juhi Chawla as the lead. The specialty of the movie is there are no dance sequences, though it had Ganesh Acharya. Money Hai To Honey Hai was the second movie by him in the year 2008. It was a complete comedy film with the dead man as a main character. Similar sequence was already made in 90s in the Tamil movie
Magalir Mattum. Ganesh Acharya had also acted in a Tamil film, Rowthiram as a villain. This movie was led by Jiiva and
Shriya Saran. He often appears in some of the songs which he choreographs. Ganesh Acharya’s favorite male dancer is Govinda and female dancer is
Madhuri Dixit. His latest hit movie is Humshakals. Currently, he is working in a film called Suresh.
