Kartik Vijay is an Indian television, and film cinematographer known for his work in movies such as Oye Lucky Lucky Oye, Matru ki Bijlee ka Mandola, Anwar, and Taxi No. 9211, among many others. Vijay has also shot more than more than 300 commercials which were also telecast at the Cannes Festival.
Vijay is a Mumbaikar and pursued his education in Graphic Designing and Advertising at The Sir J. J. Institute of Applied Arts in Mumbai. Vijay started his career in 2000 by assisting in the production of popular television shows such as CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Ryan Murphy’s drama, Nip/Tuck, and Daniel Voll’s mystery-thriller, Threat Matrix. However, Vijay received recognition for his work in shorts films such as the Dominic Koletes-directed, This Woman’s Work, and the Natasha Dyer starrer Brooklyn’s Bridge to Jordan.

In 2013, Vijay sat behind the camera for the Vishal Bharadwaj- directed Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola. However, Vijay received critical acclamation for his work in the short film, The Brave, the Boldest.
