Amit Sharma is an Indian movie, short films and commercial advertisements director. He along with two other partners runs Chrome pictures. He first came into limelight from his very famous Google reunion advert. It featured childhood friends divided and sent apart following the partition between India and Pakistan. It had a very intense impact on both the countries. Within two days of its release, the video was seen by over 1.6 million peoples. The advert was mainly to show how important Google search engine can be in real life. The advert went completely viral. And from here, Amit Sharma, the director’s career started. After this, he directed The Silent National Anthem. This advert was released by Big Cinemas and Mudra Group on 61st Indian Independence Day.

The video was shot enacting hearing impaired children, in sign language. Big Cinemas is a company owned by Reliance Industries. In Big Cinema’s theatres, this advert was played before every movie. This video marked an important point in Amit Sharma’s life. From here his filmmaking skills came out and in the eyes of Bollywood producers. After this, he was offered to direct a film from Boney Kapoor. This movie was named Tevar and starred Arjun Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha. Tevar was Amit Sharma’s directorial debut film in Bollywood. Though the film wasn’t a hit, it still gave Amit a platform to show his filmmaking skills. Sanjay Kapoor produced the film. After Tevar, Amit Sharma has been working on some new projects, which are rumoured to include Abhishek Bachchan and Arjun Kapoor.
