He studied in Christ College, Bangalore and then did his course in Film Editing at Whistling Woods at Mumbai. Nitin first met Neeraj on the sets of Gangs of Wasseypur and they both decided to make a short film ‘Shor’ together. After the short film got over, Neeraj spoke about working with a feature film too which got materialized after Wasseypur at the end of its shooting schedule.

Above all, the editing part of the movie ‘Masaan’ was really challenging for the editor. He was very much confused with the idea of editing the begging scene of the movie. This editor was part of many confusions in life, while he wanted to get into films, he applied to both SRFTi and FTII. But he had taken the right decision in joining Whistling Woods. While he was studying in Bangalore, he had a habit of collecting DVDs and collection of DVDs was his inspiration to join films.

Nitin likes very much the scripts of the films that he worked so far. All his films was an out of the ordinary subject, wholesome film. He is thankful to the entire cast and crew who waited patiently for the release of his (any) movies despite the delay in his part of editing.
