Plot: Santhanam has taken the hero tool in his hand once again. The movie is about a young man, who is in love with a girl deeply, is forced to marry another girl by his parents.
Comedy performance is entirely different from heroic. A hero could do comedy, but at the same time his body language and expressions should show that he is still a hero. Santhanam’s first venture as a hero in the film Vallavanukku Pullum Ayudham showed him as a young and charismatic man. But he failed to withstand as a hero in that film, as his body language still looked like a comedian. But he managed that in his second venture as a hero. He has maintained the heroic look, along with his usual comedy setup. He is now better with the romantic scenes and serious scenes too. When he romanced Madhumitha in Arai En 305 IL Kadavul, it looked a little bit odd. But he made it over in Inimey Ippadi Than.
This is a mixture of many old Tamil films, where a hero will be in a dilemma to choose his better half. Right from Bama Rukmani till Ninaithen vandhai, we have seen such type of movies. But Santhanam has taken a right decision to perform in the old story slot, but with his own wits. The Climax is differently shot by the twin directors Prem Anand and Murugan, who are called as Muruganand.
The heroines had done the job well, as it is given to them. Thambi Ramaiah plays the maternal uncle of Santhanam. Ashna Zaveri and Akhila Kishore are the heroines. Santhanam’s punch dialogue rocks, as usual. Sirippu Kaamichu Thana Pathrukka, Scene Kaamichu Pathathilayae, by Santhanam, is really rocking.
Overall, it is a good movie, with the stereotyped story with new varnish by Santhanam’s comedy. People, who want to laugh to forget all their work tensions, can visit the theaters and Santhanam will fulfill their wish for sure.
Inimey Ippadi Than…. Watchable for Santhanam!
