Plot
Karthi grew up in a church where a nun cared for him. Poongothai is his mother. Since childhood, Karthi faced challenges with the upper community people in his area. Even at his school, he is ill-treated. So, he had to move from the town with his mother. The town they lived in had a tradition that only the upper community people could perform the traditional dance form. Karthi vows to perform the traditional dance for his father. Was he able to fulfil his father’s dream? Who is his father, and what has happened to him? All these questions are answered in the rest of the film.
Star Performance
James Karthik tried to perform naturally. Iniya appeared in three different getups and did her job well. Sonia Agarwal did what was required of her. Aajeedh is okay in the given role. Aadukalam Naren did justice to the given character.
Analysis
Durai directed the film scripted by James Karthik. The script is not bad, but the screenplay could’ve been better. With good performers like Aadukalam Naren, Sonia Agarwal and Iniya, the makers could’ve designed a better screenplay and executed it well. Though those stars performed well, due to the weak screenplay, their performances went in vain. Visuals are above average. The music is okay. The production values could’ve been better.
