Star Performance

Taapsee Pannu… what a stunning performance! She excelled in the role and this is one of the best performances in her career so far. In each and every frame, she appears different. She had to emote various expressions and these expressions come flawlessly from the actress. Kumud Mishra did his role perfectly and the rest of the characters, including Tanvi Azmi and Ratna Pathak are also good in the given roles.

It is an excellent attempt by Anubhav Sinha and Taapsee Pannu. Thanks to the screenplay that didn't have any hurdles in the flow. With the quick screenplay and perfect execution by Anubhav Sinha, the stars shine well. Taapsee is the right choice for the role. She is very natural and her chemistry with all her co-stars is fantastic. Except for one or two characters, all the other characters are powerfully written and they are impressive. Anurag Saikia is the music composer and his tunes are good and the BGM gels well with the narrative.

What's There?

  • Good script, screenplay and execution
  • Excellent performance by the artists, especially the heroine, Taapsee Pannu
  • Music and cinematography are good

What's Not There?

  • A few characters were not written well

When some people think that it is just a slap, the victim could not feel the same. Many Indian women adjust with their husbands and their family, although they insult them in public. Some of the women had to take some crucial steps to prove their importance and one of the few women is Taapsee’s Amrita. Not only for the script and screenplay, dialogues and the performance, but the film should also be watched to know the feelings of every woman. Thappad is a super thappad to the people who don’t care for others’ feelings!
