Exclusive: A Biggie Producer Bags Petta Distribution Rights!

“Petta” is the upcoming Superstar “Rajinikanth” film scripted and directed by Karthik Subbaraj. Sun Pictures produces the film. Sun Pictures’ previous venture, “Sarkar” was distributed by Sri Thenandal Films. Sources say that they are not much satisfied in their deal. The latest news is that “Kalaipuli S Thanu,” who had produced “Kabali” with Rajini bagged the distribution rights of Petta. Sources say that he has bagged it for Rs 120+ crores. Petta star cast has “Simran,” Vijay Sethupathi, Trisha Krishnan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Bobby Simha, “J Mahendran,” “M Sasikumar” and Megha Akash with Superstar. Anirudh Ravichander composed the music. The music launch will be held on 9th December and the film will hit the screens on Pongal 2019 along with Ajith Kumar – “Nayanthara” movie “Viswasam.”
