Is it time for the greatest collaboration ever imaginable in Kollywood?

’ Pandian, Nelson is also in talks with Dhanush for the second lead. If he succeeds, this will be probably the first time that the two great actors would be sharing screen together.
Nelson Dilipkumar has done only four films till date. Beginning with the Nayanthara starrer ‘Kolamaavu Kokila’, his plans were almost ruined by the COVID-19 pandemic. However, Nelson didn’t give up and worked further on the Sivakarthikeyan starrer ‘Doctor’, which reaped him great benefits.
Unfortunately, his collaboration with ‘Thalapathy’ Vijay, titled ‘Beast’ didn’t live up to the expectations as the movie barely managed to recover its costs through overseas collections.
However, Nelson more than made up for it with the Rajinikanth starrer ‘Jailer’. Despite clashing with films like ‘Gadar 2’, ‘OMG 2’ and ‘Bholaa Shankar’, ‘Jailer’ held its ground, and earning a whopping 650 crores worldwide over a budget of 250 crores, making it a blockbuster that Rajinikanth had been yearning for years.
