‘Vettaiyan’ To Stream On This OTT Platform

‘Vettaiyan’ had already been secured for a digital release way by Amazon Prime Video.

However, according to the recent reports, the movie will soon be available for an early OTT release by 7 November. It is yet to be confirmed if the release would be rent free or not.

The movie was released on the occasion of Vijayadashami. However, contrary to expectations, the movie has failed to impress the audiences the way Rajinikanth’s previous cop drama ‘Jailer’ did. The movie is all set to be wrapped around a lifetime figure of 250 crores globally, compared to a budget of 300 crores. This would be a second consecutive failure for Rajinikanth, after his extended cameo in ‘Laal Salaam’, which failed to even cross 40 crores globally on a budget of 90 crores.

With that, the wait for a major blockbuster grows longer for Kollywood. Although movies like ‘GOAT’ have earned more than 400 crores, they are far from being even a simple HIT, let alone be a commercial blockbuster.
