Dharma Teja Jasti is also known popularly as Teja is Indian director and cinematographer best known for his works in the Bollywood and Telugu Film Industry. Teja was born on February 22, 1966, in Madras, Tamil Nadu. His father Jasti Balaram Krishna was a famous industrialist based in Tokyo, Japan. But unfortunately his parents died, and Teja ran away from home, doing odd jobs.
He did jobs like being a lighting assistant for Tamil films, moving onto camera department, etc. He also worked for National Geographic Channel helping with the documentaries. He worked with the famous director Ram Gopal Verma on films like Shiva, Rangeela, etc. Teja's directorial debut movie, Chitram, was planned on a budget of just forty lakhs in Ramoji Film City which became a blockbuster.
After this movie, he went on directing other hit movies like
, etc. Teja established his own production company named Chitrammovies in the year 2002. He is known to introduce newcomers who went on later and became huge superstars some of them include Kajal Agarwal, Ileana Dcruz, Nithin Reddy, etc.
