Nandamuri Balakrishna usually called as Nata Simham is a veteran Telugu actor and son of Telugu legendary actor,Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Sr.Ntr. He was born on 10 June 1960 in Chennai. He completed his schooling and early life in Chennai. He married Vasundhara and he is the father of Nara Brahmini, Tejaswini and MokshagnaTeja. Brahmini is the daughter-in-law of Andhra Chief Minister Nara Chandra Babu Naidu.

With his father as the Telugu matinee idol Sr.NTR it has become Bala Krishna’s duty to continue his father’s legacy as Telugu hero. He has been successful in doing it so. Though he acted as child artist in few films he debuted as full-time hero with Sahasame Vupiri. He acted in brother’s role for his father in few films like Dana Veera Sura Karna, Srimadvirataparvam. He turned as a top contender of Tollywood with the film Apoorva Sahodarudu, directed by B.Raghavendra Rao. After this film he had 6 hits consecutively. When his father entered politics he took the responsibility to impress his father’s fans.

When his father became the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, he became a top hero of Tollywood and gave a huge competition to the no.1 hero Chiranjeevi. His other major flicks are , Aditya 369, , Narasimha Naidu, Chennakesava Reddy,etc., He was famous for his ferocious characters and his violent dialogues. He won 2 Nandi awards and 3 Filmfare awards.

Apart from films, he is the chairman of Basavatharakam Cancer Institute which is a top oncology hospital in South India. He entered political foray in 2014 elections and won as M.L.A for Hindupur constituency by a huge majority.
