Reality Events Made Into Bollywood Movies

This year Bollywood plans to produce more real-life stories and biopics. Here’s a list of some 2016 releases based on true events. Some have already been released.

Released on 22nd January 2016, Airlift is based on the biggest evacuation in history, constituting of Indians from Kuwait during the Iraq-Kuwait war in the 90s. Around 1,70,000 Indians were stranded in Kuwait after Iraqi tanks rolled into their home in Kuwait. The film narrates the story through the eyes of RanjitKatyal and other unsung heroes about how Indians and managed to survive Saddam Hussein’s Iraqi invasion and moved from Iraq to Jordan.
