Plot
Ranjit Dobriyal, a millionaire, was getting ready to celebrate his 100th birthday on his cruise. But, without celebrating his birthday, he dies. Before his death, he announced Jolly as his successor. But there are three Jollys – Julius, Jalbushan, and Jalabuddin. Before finding the real Jolly, a murder happens on the cruise. Now, everyone suspects everyone. Who is the original Jolly? Were they able to find him? The rest of the story deals with this.
Star Performance
Riteish’s performance is neat. Akshay and Abhishek didn’t get much to perform. Sonam Bajwa, Dino, and Fardeen Khan delivered decent performances. It is quite doubtful why Shreyas Talpade, Chunky Pandey, and Johnny Lever signed this project. Nana Patekar’s performance is the highlight of the film despite the minimal screen time.
Analysis
The first half has nothing significant to mention. There are some songs added randomly and there are too many loud arguments. Only a few comedy scenes worked out. The second half is better than the first half. Nana Patekar makes us laugh throughout his presence. His presence is felt more than the lead actors. His scenes are penned well, and it was a really unexpected, funny sequence in the film. The director has tried to blend the murder mystery with comedy. Though it was not successful throughout, it worked to some extent. The suspense about the murderer is maintained well.

Housefull 5 is neither too bad nor too wonderful. It can be watched once for a few comedy performances!
