Harbhajan Singh is a popular and most talented cricket player. This prominent Indian player is fondly known by several names, such as Bhajji, Bhajju and Bhajjipaa. His fans outside India have given the nickname, Turbanator. Bhajji is predominantly a right arm Bowler in the team. He uses the technique, off-break to bowl. Harbhajan Singh Plaha is from Jalandhar district in Punjab.

He is an expert when it comes to spin bowling and has taken the second highest wickets in test matches, only next to the veteran Srilankan Player Muttiah Muralitharan. In the year 1998, Harbhajan started his stint in the field of Cricket by playing in a One Day International match.

Though he had played a fair game, his career did not shoot up because of the way he bowled. He was accused of playing against the laws of bowling in cricket. Harbhajan utilised this chance very well and took thirty-two wickets against the Australian team and paved way for the Indian team’s victory. Even though his talent was recognized, he was often used only as a reserve to Kumble. The man was always in the middle of some controversy. In one of the matches, Bhajji played in 2008, he abused Australian Cricketer Andrew Symonds. This landed him in getting banned from playing cricket for the rest of the year. Later, he again got prohibited from participating in 2008 International Premier League (IPL) matches and, this time, it was because he slapped co-player Sreesanth.

Recently he got into an issue involving the sports company named as Bhajji Sports that sells sports goods for the teams of Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh and Bengal. It is reported that Bhajji owns the shop, but also plays for the Punjab team, thus making the other teams his rivals. Cricket officials and Activists have lodged a complaint against Harbhajan Singh.

Mysteriously, Vikram Sidhu from Jalandhar has come forward and told that he is the own who runs Bhajji Sports and Harbhajan is just his friend. In the year 2009, he was granted with the civilian honour, Padma Shri Award. In 2011, Bhajji played for our Indian Team and contributed to the epic win in the 2011 World Cup. Harbhajan Singh practised cricket under Davinder Arora. It is said that he used to play for three hours in the morning again after school, start to play from three till sunset.

The contributions of Bhajji in Cricket won him the position of Deputy Superintendent of Police from the Punjab Government.
