Karthik is an Indian playback singer. He was born November 7, 1980, in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Karthik has sung in many languages including Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Bengali and Hindi. He is known to be a very versatile singer. In the Tamil language, he has sung for over 1000 songs, his highest for any language followed by Telugu in which he has sung over 500 songs. Karthik had the love for music since his childhood days. He is trained in Carnatic Music and had got trained for it since long.

He was a regular participant of IIT Madras fest Saarang. Karthik always wanted to work with A.R. Rahman and his dream came true when one of his friends Srinivas, who was constantly working with Rahman recommended Karthik to Rahman.

He sang the song Behene De for the film Raavan in 2010. Behene De is considered as one of the best songs in his career. He also sang the Tamil and Telugu versions of the same song. He also sang for an advertisement of Coca-Cola company and Prince Jewellery ads.

Karthik is a talented singer and a music composer in the Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu film industry. Known for his songs in different languages such as Malayalam, Oriya, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi, he has worked on thousands of songs. Born on November 7th, 1980, in a Tamil family in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, he was trained in Carnatic music during his school days. In college, he was part of a band and performed in different fests including those of IIT Madras and Oxford Engineering College. He also studied cinematography in Mumbai.

He entered into the music industry with the help of a close friend's cousin - Srinivas, who is also a playback singer and has worked with Karthik's childhood hero, the music maestro, A.R. Karthik is an Indian playback singer and music composer born on November  7, 1980. He began his professional career as a playback singer. Being a multilingual singer, he sang in several languages, including Odia, Bengali, Telugu, Marathi, and Hindi, but he is best known for his work in the Tamil music industry. His single "Faryad," released during the lockdown, became a huge hit. As a true winner, he had participated in several music shows and competitions before gaining fame. He trained as a professional Carnatic music vocalist during his school years. As a member of the college band, he regularly performed at the IIT Madras Fest "Saarang." His dream was to meet and sing for A. R. Rahman, who he idolized. Srinivas, a playback singer who often collaborated with Rahman, was Karthik's close friend's cousin.
