Pooja Lokesh is a popular and famous, young, upcoming, and talented Indian actress who mostly works in Tamil television. Pooja Lokesh is also dubbed and acts as a dubbing artist for the lead roles in the national serials, which are dubbed in Tamil for airing in the Tamil entertainment television channels. Born to popular Kannada cine star Late Lokesh, Pooja Lokesh harbored a dream of becoming an actress and a famous cine personality since her childhood. The opportunity came knocking at her door during her college days. One of the leading television production companies noticed her and called for an audition for their upcoming projects. Pooja Lokesh gladly accepted this opportunity and decided to give it a try. His brother also works in films. Pooja Lokesh has had a successful stint in the Kannada film and television industry as an item song dancer in many films and a lead serial actress. But, it was by acting in Tamil television serials and films she gained popularity. Initially, Pooja Lokesh was criticized for being overweight, but later she lost oodles of weight to attain a glamorous figure by following a strict diet and exercise regime. Pooja Lokesh became famous by acting in the hit and popular family drama Tamil serial Selvi which aired on Sun TV in 2006. The serial became immensely popular and dubbed Telugu, where Pooja Lokesh dubbed for her character in Telugu. After that, she was seen acting in many Tamil serials and character roles in few Tamil movies. Pooja Lokesh also appeared as a guest artist in Sun TV’s celebrity chat show Nathchathiram. Pooja also played the role of the main antagonist in another Sun TV’s popular Tamil serial Kungumam. Presently she is seen acting in Sun TV’s Mahabharatham essaying the role of Ambai- the eldest Kashi Princess.

Her father, Lokesh, is a popular actor in Kannada films. Pooja’s mother, Girija, is also an actress. Her brother Srujan is a popular cinema cum theatre artist. Pooja did her fine arts degree in Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath in Bangalore. She was motivated by actress Kushboo to act in Tamil serials. Pooja did her first serial in Tamil opposite Kushboo.
