Devadarshini is a Tamil TV serial actor who first made her debut in the year 1998 and is now married to fellow serial actor Chetan with whom she has an 11-year-old daughter, Niyati. She has played several supporting roles in more than 50 films and has appeared in around 20 TV serials. She got her first break through the series ‘Marmadesam’ where she acted along with Chetan. She has also played several pivotal roles in cult serials like Annamalai, Kolangal, Athi Pookkal, Poovilangu among many others. She is widely known for her comedy and sentimental roles in several movies in the first decade of the 21st century.  Her first movie was Kaakha Kaakha where she played a supportive role and continued to act in many other movies like Kadhal Kirukkan, Enakku 20 Unakku 18, 6’2 and Parthiban Kanavu. For the movie ‘Parthiban Kanavu’ she won the Tamil Nadu State Award for the Best Comedian for her role opposite Vivek in the movie, which won her awards and accolades. She continued to don similar roles and was widely known for her comic sense.  Her love for dance showed when she paired along with her husband, Chetan and participated in the Vijay TV reality show, Jodi No.1 and won many praises for her efforts. She played herself in the 2008 Venkat Prabhu-directed ‘Saroja’ and has played sister, mother, neighbor, daughter and even Goddess Parvati till now. Her versatility is her forte, and she is active now on the silver screen as well as the small screen. Her most recent movie was Tenaliraman alongside Vadivelu and has few movies in the pipeline. Currently, she also hosts the comedy show ‘Sunday Galatta’ that airs on Sun TV every Sunday.  



Sachu is a veteran Tamil actress, who was born and brought up in an orthodox family in Mylapore, Chennai. She was born as Saraswathi in 1948 and was introduced to acting at an early age of 4 and has been active ever since. Her family had musicians, lawyers, etc. but no actress,  hence she found it difficult to convince her Orthodox father to accept her profession. She has acted in hundreds of films in over five languages and also acted in a few serials on television. She predominantly plays a supportive role or as a comedienne in almost all of her movies.   Her first movie was 'Rani' in which she acted at the age of 4 and went on to act in stage plays through the years and has made a big mark in the industry. Sachu replaced the space left by the absence of Baby Saroja, and her performances were adored by the Tamil audience. She then performed with stars of the Tamil industry like Padmini, Savithri, Anjali Devi, etc. She then had her big breakthrough in ‘Maya Bazaar’ where she played Kutty Valsala and reached far and wide through the audience. She also played in the legendary ‘Kadhalikka Neramillai’ as a comedienne alongside greats like Muthuraman, Nagesh, M. R. Radha, ‘Thengai’ Srinivasan, etc. She took to playing plays and dramas in the 1970s and played her first play in playwright and director PVR’s ‘Neerottam’. Since then she has acted in several plays and movies alongside Sivaji Ganesan, MGR, Nagesh, etc.  Later in the 1980s, she played with younger stars like Kamal Hassan, Rajinikanth and in the next decade, we saw her play roles alongside the next generation of Vijay, Surya, Karthik, etc. She then moved on to the small screen, television serials in the 2000s. She played a comedienne in ‘Maanbumigu Mayor’, ‘Dinesh Ganesh’, and ‘Veettukku Veedu Looty’ taking her name to higher levels of versatility. She was awarded the 'Kalaimamani' award in 1991 by the then Chief Minister J Jayalalitha.
