Sushma Veer

Sushma Veer is Indian classical dancer, theater artist and a movie actress who mainly works in the Kannada Film and Television Industry. She started as an actress at the young age of three. In 1977, she was seen in the movie Kokila which was Balu Mahendra’s Directorial debut. Other than her love for acting and dancing, she is also extremely fond of riding bikes. Reportedly, she owned an RX 100 at the dangerous age of 13. She comes from a theater family. Her mother B. Jayashree was a theater Director, Actress and Singer. Her father K. Ananda also actively worked in the theater. Sushma is the granddaughter of the famous Indian theater Director Gubbi Veeranna.

Sushma’s performance was noticed in another movie Ayyo Pandu. She played the female protagonist in the flick. It is a comedy entertainer loosely based on the popular TV serial PaPa Pandu. Shivkumar of the Abhinaya Taranga fame has directed the flick. Actors like kasha, Abhinaya and Tara co-acted with Sushma in the film. In 2010, she Co-Directed the film Deadly-2. It was a Kannada action film with a crime biographical background. It revolved around the incidents and happenings in the life of an infamous underworld don.
