Amy Jackson is the popular actress in India, who is a British by her nationality. Her full name is Amy Louise Jackson and she was born in the year 1992 to Alan and Marguerita Jackson. Amy Jackson’s father is working as a producer in the BBC. Amy chose to study English literature, philosophy and ethics. At the age of 16, she started her career as a model. She was the winner of Miss Teen World 2009 and Miss Liverpool in 2010. She was brought to India to act in the films by A.L. Vijay, the director of Madrasapattinam, who introduced her in that film. After her successful entry in the Indian film, she got many offers from various languages. Among those offers, she filtered a few and started to act. Her first debut in Hindi is Ekk Deewana Tha. Yevadu is her first Telugu movie, opposite Ram Charan Teja. Recently she did a lead role in director Shankar’s I, opposite to Vikram. Devika known as Prameela Devi was born on 25 April 1943, she was a Tamil and Telugu film star. Her grand Father was Raghupathi Venkaiah Naidu, an Ex-mayor of Madras. She changed her name to Devika, which proved to be very lucky. Devika made her debut in Mudhalali, in 1958 paired with veteran actor S.S.Rajendran and the movie went to bring huge success and was a Block Buster. Devika and Sivaji Ganesan starred in some memorable movies like the hilarious Bale Pandiya, mythological Karnan, Neelavanam, Kulamagal Radhai, Pavamanippu and Annai Illam etc. She is regarded as a graceful and versatile heroine of her time. She was known for her natural look and beauty which was the main factor in her casting in mythological films like Thiruvilaiyadal and Karnan. Her memorable films are Sumaithangi, Marakka Mudiyuma and Nenjil oru Aalayam. Devika started acting at the age of twelve. Her magnificent performances made her popular figure in those days. Devika acted in one and only film with then legendry Tamil superstar M.G.Ramachandran in Aananthajothi, which was produced by actor P.S.Veerappa. Another Version Prameela Devi or better known as Devika was born on 25 April 1943 in Chennai. She was a very famous face in Tamil and Telegu films and was regarded as the most graceful heroine back in her times. She was the granddaughter of ex-mayor of Madras, Raghupathi Venkaiah Naidu. Devika changed her name and said that the name proved to be lucky. She was seen in many mythological films like Thiruvilaiyadal and Karnan. Devika started acting at a very young age of 12 years. She did her first movie in 1958, opposite S. S. Rajendra titled “Mudhalali.” She has worked in movies like Nenjil Oru Aalayam, Marakka Mudiyuma, and Sumaithangi. She was paired with the actor Sivaji in many of the movies. Devika got very famous in the movie industry and was asked to work with M. G. Ramachandran, a superstar of their era in the year 1963. She acted best in the movie “Neela Vanam.” Her charm and her talent made her grope many movies like “Vazhkai Padagu,” “Nenjam Marappadhillai,” and “Vanambadi.” Her skills made the song “Sonnathu Needhna” made the song unforgettable. Devika always gave a wonderful performance and was seen in over 150 films. In 1972, she married Devadas but sadly she got divorced from him in 1990. She had one daughter from him named ‘Kanak’ who followed her legacy and went on being a famous actress. Devika died on 2 May 2002 in Chennai.
