AR Rahman has received a major relief from the Delhi High Court.
In a pleasant surprise for the composer, the Delhi High Court absolved him of copyright violations over one of his songs for the Ponniyin Selvan franchise. The musician was accused of copyright infringement by Ustad Dagar over one of the songs Veera Raja Veera.
However, the High Court struck down the accusations, saying that the entire provision of the Copyright Act would have to be changed if such parameters were considered without any discussion.
AR Rahman has faced a roller coaster of a ride since the COVID-19 pandemic. While he does come up with gems like
