Dhanush Hits Back At Trolls For Mocking His Childhood Poverty

Dhanush hit back at his critics for mocking his childhood struggles.

In one interview, the actor claimed that he struggled to get even something as simple as Idlis, which inspired the story behind his character in the upcoming movie Idly Kadai, which is Dhanush’s fifth venture as a director.

However, given that Dhanush’s father, Kasthuri Raja was a filmmaker by profession, some people doubted upon his claims, although Kasthuri didn’t make a solid breakthrough until 1991, when he made his directorial debut with the movie En Rasavin Manasile, when Dhanush was barely eight years old.

Dhanush is currently awaiting the release of Idly Kadai, which will hit the screens a day before Kantara and Sunny Sanskari ki Tulsi Kumari, i.e. on October 1. He is also awaiting the release of Tere Ishk Mein, which marks his return to Indian cinema after Atrangi Re. The movie is a spiritual sequel of Dhanush’s spectacular Hindi debut, i.e. Raanjhanaa, which co-stars Kriti Sanon in the lead role.
