G Shiva is a producer and a director in the Kollywood industry from Chennai, Tamil Nadu. He is also a politician and a member of the censor board. G Shiva studied at Avichi Higher Secondary School, Chennai, and completed his higher education at the University of Madras. He is a well-experienced person who has worked in many different sectors of the cinema industry.
He started as a member of the Cinematographer Association, Direct Union, and Writer Association in 1990. Then he worked as an assistant director for a legendary director K. Balachander. He became general secretary of the Cameraman Association and Film Employees Federation of South India (FEFSI), and from then he got his name as FEFSI Shiva from the film workers. G Shiva directed his first Tamil movie Dhanam in 2008. He is also a former president of All India Film Employees Confederation (AIFEC).
