Arun Vaidyanathan is an American cum Indian director, screenwriter, and producer for short films and TV shows. He was born in Sirkazhi in Tamil Nadu. He used to watch movies in his childhood days, as it was the only medium of his entertainment. He had interests in music and dancing during his school time. He had been appreciated for his talent of dancing and singing by the audience.

During his college times, he grew up another talent in addition to music and dancing. It was mimicry. It led to his entrance in the television industry. He used to write scripts, direct and perform in the lead shows of South Indian television. The serials aired on Raj TV and Sun TV. He worked on television's daily soap titled Hollywood Special on Raj TV. It used to give reviews of the American pictures in the Tamil language.

From this daily opera, he gained knowledge about several Hollywood screenplays. He had never thought to be exposing in this field. He completed his studies in Computer Science. Then, he did a job at a top software company. It led him to move to the United States. He finished an event in the New York Film Academy. Later, he began making short length English photoplays entitled as New Jersey. He made his first debut in 2008. It named Achchamundu, and that was a Tamil-based drama. Sneha, Prasanna, and John Shea featured in it. It had its shots in New Jersey. It released in the year 2009.

It premiered at the Garden State Film Festival. He co-produced Kalyana Samayal Saadham with Ananth Govindan. It is a romantic cum comedy drama. RS Prasanna directed it. Lekha Washington and Prasanna were in the lead roles. Then, he made Peruchazhi. It was his first Malayalam produced cinema. It was inspired from the 1971’s classic cum politics Muhammad Bin Tughluq. Mohanlal, Ragini Nandwani, Mukesh, Baburaj, Vijay Babu, and Aju Varghese acted in it. Arvind Krishna did the cinematography. Aurora composed the songs and background music. Arun has plans to make a thriller screenplay with Vaibhav Reddy, Prasanna, Varalakshmi Sarathkumar, Arjun Sarja, Suman, Suhasini, and Sruthi Hariharan as actors.

In 2016, he directed and wrote a Tamil drama titled as Nibunan. Under the companionship of Anand Raghav, he wrote the dialogues and scripts for the photoplay produced under the production of passion Film Factory. In 2005, he made short films like Stinking Cigar, Br(a)illiant, Thaniyoru Manidhanukku, and As You Wish. Then, in the two years, he made The Noose, The Séance, and One Soul.

Balaji Mohan

Balaji Mohan is a director by profession. He is famous for his films like Love Failure and Kadhalil Sodhappuvadhu Yeppadi. Balaji was nominated for SIIMA Best Debutant Director Award. He was born on 25 May 1987 in Trichy, Tamil Nadu. Balaji attended Campion Anglo-Indian Higher Secondary School and later went to study engineering at Sri Sivasubramaniya Nadar College of Engineering. He got married to his childhood love, Aruna in July 2012. He was always interested in directing films and in fulfilling his dream; he even left engineering and went for making movies instead. Balaji has determined in the tenth standard that he will become a director one day, but he decided to study. In the third semester, his father bought him a Handycam, and he shot his first film, named Velicham. This short movie entered film festivals and won awards. This motivation led him to quit engineering, and he joined a course in L.V. Prasad Film and TV Academy in Vadapalani, Chennai. Balaji learned editing and sound mixing at the Institute and did a programme in acting from Alchemy Institute in Adyar, Chennai. After this, he made several short films and later gave his first full-length bilingual romantic comedy film Kadhalil Sodhappuvadhu Yeppadi in Tamil and Love Failure in Telugu. Mohan at the advent of his career was an assistant director in 2009 for the film called Kuler 100. Meanwhile, he joined a reality show named Gateway to Hollywood and Balaji was among one of the six participants, who got into the finale of the season. The Treasure was his film; that got featured at the show, and he got lucky with it to enter the competition. After this, he joined Naalaya Iyakunar, Kalaignar TV’s programme. In this, Balaji directed many short films, which were The Juniors, Kodi, Mittai Veedu, and Addi Tail and for his consistent performance in the show, he won the winner of the series award. Balaji joined Tamil Film Drohi’s team and became the assistant director to Sudha K. Prasad. Kadhalil Sodhappuvadhu Yeppadi was a short film, and Balaji made it during the show Naalaya Iyakunar. At the behest of Nirav Shah’s proposal, he made the script and made it a full-fledged film. It was made into Telugu and Tamil version, and the same name was kept for Tamil version while Telugu version was titled Love Failure.
