A. Venkatesh is the well-known director of Tamil films. He is famous for directing the movies in very short period. He started his career by working as an assistant director under K. Rajeshwar for two films project namely “Idhaya Thamarai” (1990) and “Nyaya Tharasu” (1989). Further, he also worked with Pavithran for “Vasanthakala Paravai” (1991) and “Suriyan” (1992). Then he worked as an associate director in “ Kadhalan” (1994) and “ Gentleman” (1993) with director Shankar. The film “Kadhalan” turned out to be a fortunate one for him as, during this movie the producer, G. K. Reddy approached him to direct a film. And so, in 1996, his success journey began. He directed his debut by the film “Mahaprabhu” with Sukanya, R. Sarathkumar and Vineetha in leading roles.

Later in 2001, Venkatesh was announced as the director of the film “ Velan” featuring Priyanka Chopra. This film had to be originally directed by Thirupathisamy but after his death, it was given to Venkatesh. But eventually, the film was dropped. Apart from directing films, he has also acted in many Tamil films. He was also seen on the small screen in Vijay TV's program which talked about his experience and career and also celebrated the success of one of his film- “ Nanban.” In 2008, Venkatesh had six film projects simultaneously to be worked upon. They were “Durai”(2008), “Malai Malai” (2009), “Vaadaa”(2010), “Bharath's Killadi”(2015), “Petrol” and “Imaya Malai.” Some were hit, others were not so hit; but all in all, he proved to be a great director with excessive potential.

S S Stanley Tamil Actor

S S Stanley

S S Stanley is a director and actor of the Kollywood world. He did not have much of a successful career after his only box office hit movie “April Maadhathil.” Srikanth and Sneha were the leading actors in this love story. He worked as an assistant director for 12 years before “April Maadhathil” came out. “Pudhukottaiyilirundhu Saravanan” was his second project having Dhanush as the starring actor. The movie proved to be a big letdown for both critics and audience. Hopes were very high from Stanley after his first film but in vain. But still, Stanley explained his failure by stating that the movie’s story was misunderstood by the audience. Then for his next assignment he chose Sonia Agarwal for producer Krishnakanth, but unfortunately due to financial problems, the movie got delayed and finally closed. In 2006, he returned with two new projects both featuring Srikanth. “Mercury Pookkal” released first and in the same year the movie “Kizhakku Kadalkarai Salai” came. This movie as well was a big failure and disappointment, and it got some extremely poor reviews and according to critics, it was "virtually invisible script" and "pathetic." Right now he wants to satisfy the producer so that he gets back all the money he invested. He does not want to experiment to make producer suffer and that he could try his trend later. Eventually, S S Stanley took a break from directing the films and instead tried his hand at acting. He appeared in the biographical movie Periyar (2007) playing the role of C. N. Annadurai. His work was quite notable in the movie.
