Sherin Shringar

Sherin Shringar is an Indian Model turned actress. She is known by her stage name, Shirin or Sherin. She was born on 2nd May 1986 in Bengaluru, Karnataka. She is the only child of her parents. She completed her schooling from Kaveri School. After finishing her schooling, she went to Baldwin’s Women’s Methodist College, but she discontinued it. She started her modeling career when she was just a teenager. Sherin made her debut in Kannada at the age of 16 with Darshan Thoogudeep in the film Dhruva in 2002. Following the success of the film, her Tamil film entry happened with “Dhanush” in Thulluvadho Ilamai in the same year.

Her acting skills were appreciated by both the viewers and the critics. Later in 2003, she starred in Junior, a Telugu remake of the Thulluvadho IIamai. Junior didn’t stand up to the mark in the Telugu film industry. After that, she did many Tamil movies in the year 2003 which include Student Number 1, Kovilpatti Veeralakshmi and Whistle. Her role in Student Number 1 and Jaya went unrecognized. She is remembered for her role in the film Whistle. Though the movie did not receive much praise from the viewers, Sherin’s role in the movie was noticed. Sherin received critical acclaims for her role in Whistle. Later in the year 2005, she starred in a Telugu movie named Danger, directed by the famous Telugu director, Krishna Vamsi. Danger came out to be a success in the Telugu film industry, but Sherin went unrecognized again. Sherin starred in a bunch of Telugu and Malayalam movies in the year 2007.

Sherin played in a special song, Rangu Rangamma in “Bheema” with Chiyaan Vikram and Trisha Krishnan. After this, she played in a Kannada film, “Shigali” and Poova Thalaiya in Tamil in 2010. In 2012, she played in “AK 56,” a Kannada film directed by Om Prakash Rao. She was last seen in Tamil in “Nanbenda” with “Nayanthara,” Udhayanidhi Stalin and “Santhanam” in 2015.

Sherin is one among the top contestants in “Bigg Boss 3” Tamil hosted by Kamal Haasan. The program is aired in Vijay TV.
