Having nearly 30 years of acting experience in the Malayalam Movie industry, Valsala Menon is a true mentor and method actress, having acted in over 150 films.
Born in 1945 to parents Raman Menon and Devakiyamma, in the Thrissur district, she learned the nuances of classical dance from an early age, and performed on several stages in the presence of several dignitaries. She was crowned Miss Thrissur in 1970, following which she entered the realm of acting. She made her debut through the movie Thiramala in 1953 as a child artist. Thirmala was directed by Vimal Kumar and P.R.S. Pillai, and holds a special place in Malayalam cinema, having the renowned film maker Ramu Kariat working as an Assistant Director, with the cast Kumari Thankam, Sathyan and Thomas Burleigh.
Although she had several offers to act in movies, she did not enter the movie scene from the time of her marriage until the time her children had completed their schooling, making her comeback in Kiratham in 1985.
Following her re-entry into the movie scene, she acted in several movies of note, including Parinayam (1994) where she played the role of Veliya Athemaru alongside industry legends like Thilakan, Mohini, Manoj K Jayan, and Nedumudi Venu. This got her noticed, following which she acted in some of her most famous roles. She also has acted in serials on the silver screen apart from several advertisements as well.
Some of her movies of note include Uppu, Sunil Vayassy, Oridathu, Theertham, Unnikale Oru Kadha Parayam, Nakshathrakoodaram, Sainyam, Vellinakshatram, Achuvinte Amma, Manushyamrugham,  Oru Yathrayil, Avatharam among several others, from 1986 to 2014.

This multi-talented artist started her career as a playback singer for amateur and professional stage plays. Sreelatha’s debut Malayalam movie was Khadeeja which was released in the year 1967. She was a sought after comedian in the Malayalam film industry and was paired with the famous comedian Adoor Bhasi in many movies. Sreelatha’s real name is Vasantha. Her parents, Balakrisnan Nair and Kamala Amma, were government servants. Sreelatha’s mother was a music teacher who passed on the talent and knowledge to her daughter. Sreelatha has given many stage concerts as well. Her connection with the world of cinema was through an aunt, Kumari Tankam. After marriage, she converted into a Brahmin and became an Antharjanam. She halted her acting career after marriage for few years and settled in Thrissur. The couple were blessed with a son, Visakh and a daughter, Ganga. Her husband died in the year 2005. She made a comeback with the movie, Pathaka. Sreelatha has been active in films and on television since then and now it has been more than a half century. However, she had left singing in the early 80s. She makes public appearances at events. Recently, her son's extravagant wedding came into the limelight when he got married to a beautiful Malayalam girl in Kerala. Recently, she became the talk of the town when she was mistakento be dead. Vanitha Krishnachandran

Vanitha Krishnachandran is another of Mollywood’s long running actors, having featured in over 150 films in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam. She played the lead role in several movies in the 1980’s before taking a break after her wedding.    Born to a Malayali father, Ganeshan, and a Tamilian mother Kamala, Vanitha entered the movie industry as a 13 year old, debuting in Padai Maarinal, in which she played the role of a school girl. Her Malayalam debut was in the movie Chandrabimbam, which starred Jayabharathi, MG Soman, Prathap Pothen and Sathar in the lead roles, directed by Sankaran Nair. Her subsequent roles in the movies Eenadu, Enickum Oru Divasumand Kaikeyi made her a popular actress, featuring roles opposite Mohanlal and Mammootty, in Keezhvanum Sivackum, and Vikadakavi respectively.   She also featured in movies such as Belt Mathai, Vanitha Police, and Deeparadhana, paired along with the actor Krishnachandran, whom she later married in 1986. Among the last movies made before she took a break for her family was the movie Kalyana Agathigal, which marked the debut of actor Nassar. The Tamil drama movie was directed by K Balachander and featured the actress Saritha in the lead role, with Vanitha playing a supporting role.   She featured in roles portraying Mata Amrithanandamayi and Kaali, in her reprisal roles in a tele-series.
