Valsala Menon

Having nearly 30 years of acting experience in the Malayalam Movie industry, Valsala Menon is a true mentor and method actress, having acted in over 150 films.

Born in 1945 to parents Raman Menon and Devakiyamma, in the Thrissur district, she learned the nuances of classical dance from an early age, and performed on several stages in the presence of several dignitaries. She was crowned Miss Thrissur in 1970, following which she entered the realm of acting. She made her debut through the movie Thiramala in 1953 as a child artist.
