Valluvakonadu people follow their ancestors and they aim to live and die as warriors and not as slaves. To bring down the Zamorins’ rule, they had been sending the warriors from their family as suicide squads for three centuries. The latest warriors, who are getting ready to accomplish the mission, wanted to earn success, which their ancestors failed to get. Will they succeed? Watch the film to know the rest.
If you expect that Mammootty will be present throughout the film, then you will be disappointed. But, Mammootty has done what is right for his role with the limited screen presence. Unni Mukundan and Master Achuthan play their part perfectly. Achuthan scores well in the action sequences. Prachi Tehlan and Siddique did justice to their roles.
The film about the throne has been scripted well. But, the characters should have been penned a little deeper. Many of the roles are lightly dealt with and hence, the performances of the stars leave no impact. M Jayachandran’s songs and Ankit’s BGM are good. The cinematography is impressive too.
What’s Not There?
Mamangam is a one-time watch! But, it is not sure, if it satisfies Mammooka fans as his screen presence is minimal!
