Sri Murali was born on December 17, 1981, to a family who was already linked to the cinema. He was born in Bangalore, Karnataka. S. A. Chinne Gowda, his father, was a film producer and his brother Vijay Raghavendra, an actor. Sri Murali tied the knot with his girlfriend, Vidya, who is a daughter of an hotelier.
