Rakesh B is an aspiring cinematographer and Director of Photography (DOP), in the Sandalwood film industry. He has been working as a freelance cinematographer in the Kannada film industry since 1998. Rakesh B. completed his high school education from Sarvagna High School in 1990 and got his Diploma in Cinematography, Film, and Video Production from S.J. Polytechnic in 1994. He debuted as a cinematographer in the 2012 Kannada film, Kalavu and subsequently worked in some films like Asthithva (2016), Toss (2017), Thrayambakam (2019), and Ranganayaki (2019). Over the years, Rakesh B has worked in various commercial, and corporate films, advertisements, and documentaries.
