Mia Ella Mimica is an actress known for Nickelodeon’s Bubble Guppies, Just Cause 4, Sandra the Fairytale Detective, and Sid The Science Kid.

Mia Ella Mimica, who is from Chile, pursued acting at the Performing Arts School, Chile. After working in Chile for TV, commercials, and theatre for two years, Mimica relocated to Los Angeles. Mia also pursued a master’s degree in performing arts at Universidad Mayor, where she won the Academic Excellence Scholarship for two years consecutively.

The actress has also trained under Robert D’Avanzo and pursued a year-long course at the New York Film Academy, where she was cast in Beasts of Burden. She also pursued acting at The Groundlings and Anthony Meindl’s Actors Workshop at Groundlings.

Her love for performing arts developed when she was three years old and would witness her older sister attending ballet classes. It was then that she insisted on her being enrolled in it too. Besides, her grandmother would buy passes for Ballet de Santiago.

Mia also credits her mother who was an English literature graduate and urged her to read authors like The Grimm Brothers, Edgar Allan Poe, and Edward Albee. The actress defines her acting style as being inspired by Antoni Artaud’s Theatre of Cruelty with touches of Meisner. She believes in immersing herself in the character she is portraying and making it look real.

In the short film Beasts of Burden, helmed and scripted by Alex Summer, Mia features as Gina. The story focuses on Drew, played by Shane Graham, who returns home to find that his brother’s life is in danger.

The actress features as Hazel in the science-fiction thriller film Phase Q, which revolves around a woman who undergoes therapy to overcome depression. To treat her, an AI character is shown to her, whom she ends up falling in love with. However, when she finds out it was only imaginary, she takes her life
