Brooke Christa Shields was born in America on May 31, 1965, and she is an American actress and model. She is the daughter of Frank Shields and Teri Shields. Frank Sheilds is a businessman, and Teri Sheilds is an actress and model. Shields suspended her modeling career in 1983 to attend Princeton University, where she graduated with a degree in Romance language. Shields returned to acting in the 1990s and appeared in films. Shields returned to the show Law & Order Special Victims Unit in the show’s 19th season in 2019. Her mom was of English, German, Scotch-Irish, and Welsh descent, whilst her father was of English, French, Irish, and Italian.
Her great-uncle was an Italian gentleman Alessandro Torlonia, the husband of Infanta Beatriz of Spain. According to William Addams Reitwiesner, Shields has links with several noble families from Italy, in particular from Genoa and Rome. These are videlicet (in chronological order of descent from 1355 to 1965) the Gattilusi-Palaiologos-Savoy, Grimaldi, Imperiali, Carafa, Doria-Pamphili-Landi, Chigi-Albani, and Torlonia dynasties. Her paternal grandmother was Italian lady Marina Torlonia di Civitella-Cesi, who was the son of an Italian Napoleon and an American swell. When Teri came to know that she was pregnant, Frank's family paid her a figure to terminate the baby. Teri took the money, still, violated the agreement, and, gave birth to Shields. Frank married Teri, later they've been divorced while Shields turned five months old. Her mom told that Sheilds is the most beautiful child and she would support her in her journey to pursue her successful career.
Shields believes in and worships the Roman Catholic faith. During her confirmation at age 10, she took the name, Camille. While in high school, she lived in Haworth, New Jersey. Shields said her first encounter with the paparazzi was in the Grand Ballroom of Waldorf Astoria New York at the age of 12, adding that she became a model and she first appeared in Waldorf. Shields attended Lincoln New School until the eighth grade. She graduated from Dwight-Englewood School in Englewood, New Jersey, in 1983. She moved to a dorm room at Princeton University to pursue her degree in French literature, where she graduated in 1987. Her biography, On Your Own, was published in 1985. Her 1987 thesis was titled "The Initiation: From Innocence to Experience: The Pre-Adolescent / Adolescent Journey in the Films of Louis Malle, Pretty Baby, and Lacombe Lucien".
Shields graduated from college; her four-year dissertation was published in the July 1987 issue of Life Magazine. Based on the content, the New York Times published a simple piece aimed at correcting the claim that Princeton produced a high-quality, complete degree.
