Jaume Roures

Life may take twists and turns at any point of time. Anything might happen with your life. No one can create or decide others destiny. It's not because of the way of life they lead, but the time might have taken extra care of it. Entrepreneur turned producer Jaume Roures had the same sort of life. His experiences molded him how he became later. Jaume Roures i Llop, famously known to the world of different fields with his short name Jaume Roures was born in 1950, in Barcelona, Spain. As is said, he had many bitter yet learning experiences. He had some ideological and political inclinations. Because of them, he got arrested at times. He is a bit left wing sided, and this led to the start of a daily Public. Later he entered the media industry and started Media Pro in 1995.

Finally, he had to own only 33% of it because of some issues with the daily Public. From 1984 to 2001, he worked in TV3. His political commitment led to the documentary about Fidel Castro tilted Commandante by Oliver Stone. All through his life, he never regretted what he has done. He made the best out of his business, experiences, etc. Jaume Roures got introduced to the film industry as a co-producer for Monday's In The Sun, a 2002 film directed by Fernando Leon De Aranoa. Later he took many roles as the executive producer, producer, etc. Some of the films as a producer include Chill Out in 2003, My Quick Way Out in 2006, Salvador, etc. His work as the executive producer hit the screens in 2005, titled The Secret Life Of Words, which is one of the ever remembered films.

All in all, he had 35 works to his credit as the producer. He didn't stick to be the producer for just films. He also did some documentaries like Commandante, Son and Moon, The Pearl Button, Messi, etc. and TV serials like Arelates in 2016. Among all the films he produced, the best remains just two.
