Gareth Unwin is a British movie producer best recognised for presenting the 2010 flick The King's Speech, for which he acquired an award by the Academy Award in the Best Picture category. He is also the co-originator and CEO of the Bedlam Productions. Growing up in Slough, Unwin visited the Herschel Grammar School. He served part-time at the Pinewood Studios. After grading from the Ravensbourne College, Gareth spread swiftly through the lines to be production manager and assistant director for a number of theatre and documentary designs.

In 2009, Gareth created the British thriller Exam, which was chosen for the BAFTA and obtained Spirit and Dinard awards. International attention followed shortly after with the record-shattering, critically lauded 2010 movie The King's Speech. It progressed on to become the largest-grossing British independent cinema of all time. In 2012 Gareth produced his next characteristic, the emotional drama Zaytoun, the first movie to be made under the UK-Israeli co-production agreement. The film was chosen to screen at the AFI Festival, the BFI London Film Festival, and Toronto International Film Festival, where it was granted the Runner Up Audience Award. Gareth served as an Executive Producer on the BAFTA- chosen British war cinema Kajaki. The True Story. The critically acclaimed feature, which holds major military charities, was published nationwide in November 2014 and is scheduled for Blu-ray, DVD, and the digital program release.

Gareth managed the direct placement of the cinema in the UK, achieving over 2500 screenings of this simply planned war movie. Since the movie released Gareth has started working almost with Help for Heroes and has been ordered to join their Brand Ambassador program. He also regularly collaborates with the International Fund Cinemagic that supports and encourages young people with hopes to work in the film industry. Recently he guided Cinemagic students on the charity's first feature flick, A Christmas Star, which released in December 2015.

Gareth is a deciding member of BAFTA, AMPAS, PGGB and PGA. He is also Honorary Professor at the Ravensbourne College of Design & Communication where he frequently lectures.
