Amanda Murray is a director and producer in Hollywood. She was born on 3 May 1989 in Memphis, Tennessee, United States of America. She was born to Melville and Anne Murray. Having a difficult childhood, she was diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome(Autism). Murray earned a bachelor's degree in American Studies from the College of William and Mary. She pursued a Masters course in Public Humanities from Brown University. However, her interest was in films and filmmaking.Â
Murray made his filmmaking debut with the short film "World Fair" in 2013. 2014, she produced a critically acclaimed film, The Search for General Tso. It screened at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2014. Murray also worked in popular movies such as Missing Modernist and The Greening of Qatar. Besides filmmaking, she was a museum curator at the National Museum of American History, the National Building Museum, and the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
