After the song Gabroo he took a gap of 2 years and came back to the Punjabi music industry with another hit Punjabi song. Boyfriend and Hulara are some of his most famous songs. He was also part of Yash Raj's ‘Veer-Zaara’. He belongs to an economically weak (he couldn’t even afford money to travel in buses) family from Amritsar and learned music from the internet and music cassettes.
