Christopher Alvin Stapleton, born on April 15, 1978, is a singer-songwriter, record producer and a guitarist from America. Born in Lexington, Kentucky, raised in Staffordsville, Kentucky. In 2001, he moved to Nashville, Tennessee to pursue his passion in music, writing songs. It was after four days of his arrival at Nashville that Stapleton signed a contract to write and publish his music with Sea Gayle Music. Chris was born to Carol J. Stapleton, who worked at local health department and father, a coal miner, Herbert Joseph Stapleton Jr. Chris attended Johnson central High school for his graduation.
He joined Vanderbilt University to study engineering but dropped out after a year. He got married to singer-songwriter, Morgane Stapleton. The couple got introduced with each other while working on the adjacent publishing houses. They have four children and reside in Nashville. Stapleton, as a vocalist, before starting records as a solo artist, sang leads in two bands, including a bluegrass ensemble from 2008-2010 called, “The Steel Drivers”. He made his hit solo debut by the critically applauded studio album framed Traveller in 2015. It reached number one in the US Billboard 200 and also got certified triple platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). In May 2017, he released his second studio album called, “From A Room: Volume 1” which entitled him with CMA Award for Album of the year (it was his second) and a Grammy Award for Best Country Album. In December 2017, From A Room: Volume 2 got released. He has been touring at the various destination with impact and powerful performances that drives audience close to music.
