Aditi Ramesh

Aditi Ramesh is an Indian jazz/soul/ R&B/blues/Carnatic classical singer, songwriter, bandleader and producer and producer based out of Mumbai. She is known for her ability to mix classical roots of Carnatic music from India with various Western genres. She moved to Bangalore to complete her high school education when she was 15. A severe shift in her circumstances forced her to abandon music entirely. Years later, she went on to study law in India and joined AZB, the top law firm in the country. Even after being a successful corporate lawyer, she quit her job towards the end of 2016 to reforge her relationship with music.

2017 was a watershed moment in her life because it marked the start of her professional music career. She is a part of some prominent bands in India, including Ladies Compartment, Voctronica, and Aditi Ramesh Ensemble. Along with her organic explorations of varied soundscapes and taking inspiration from diverse music cultures, she writes songs about self-expression, and women in society. She continues to inspire numerous female artists in India today.
