Stephanie Sheh is a renowned American voice actress, singer, producer, ADR writer, and director. She was born as Stephanie Ru-Phan Sheh on April 10 in Kalamazoo, Michigan in the US. She studied at Monta Vista High School in California, where she discovered her passion for acting. Later, when she attended the University of California in LA (UCLA), she got involved with anime clubs. Stephanie became a producer after she graduated from UCLA while pursuing her career as an actress.
She had her training in acting, improv, and voice acting at the Second City Training Center, UCLA School of Theater, Film & Television, East West Players, etc. In 2001, Stephanie had her voice acting debut in “I’m Gonna Be An Angel!” and subsequently had her first major role in the anime original video animation, FLCL. She also had starring voice roles in the Japanese manga series, Bleach, and the anime series, Eureka Seven. She also voiced Hinata Hyuga of the very popular hit series, Naruto. All these shows were aired on Cartoon Network channel and earned success.
Stephanie also voiced video game characters in BioShock 2, True Crime: New York City, Aion: The Tower Click to look into! >> Read More... of Eternity, Resident Evil 5, GTA V, and Devil May Cry 4. She was also sent to Japan for the motion capture of Cereza’s character in Sega’s third-person action game, Bayonetta. Stephanie is the voice behind the characters of Jinafire Long and Duchess Swan in Monster High and Ever After High respectively. She played as Tiny Olivia Munn for several times in the American live TV program, “Attack of the Show!” (AOTS). In the year 2012, she hosted the talk show, BPM: Beats Per Mnet and reprised the role as Eureka in the Japanese anime, Eureka Seven: Astral Ocean, in 2013. Later, Viz Media divulged some details about the upcoming Blu-ray release of Sailor Moon, and Stephanie was cast to voice the character of Sailor Moon/Usagi Tsukino. Aside from working as a voice actress, Stephanie also works at Synch-Point, who works in the production of anime and manga’s English language versions to distribute in North America.
One of her first major projects is Studio Perriot’s I’m Gonna Be An Angel. Besides being a producer, she also worked as a voice director and recording engineer. She was a film and television editor of the Daily Bruin while she was in college. She also became a freelance entertainment journalist.
