Ronda Rousey

Ronda Jean Rousey is expertised in judoka, an American mixed martial artist and an actress, who is an Aquarius Women by Sun Sign, born on February 1, 1987, in California (Riverside), United States to Ron Rousey and AnnMaria De Mars. She is 5 ft 7 inches tall and currently, stays in Venice, California, United States and is often called by her different names like "The Armbar Assassin", "The Rowdy One, "Rowdy Ronda," "The Arm Collector" etc. Rousey is the youngest daughter amongst other siblings. Her passion for Judo grew more from her mother who was the first U.S. citizen to win a World Judo Championship in 1984. During her early life, she suffered breathing problems and minor brain damage when her birth took place and this hindered her vocal cords until she grew 6. Rousey faced many problems during her childhood stage one major tragedy took place when her father committed suicide when he thought he would remain paralyzed forever as his backbone got damaged in an accident.

Rousey started practicing Judo at an age of 11 along with her mother. When she attained the age 17, she qualified Olympics games that were held in Athens in 2004 and bagged the title of youngest  Judoka in the entire games. In 2006, during April month she won an A-Level tournament by a score (5-0) that claimed gold at the Birmingham World Cup in Great Britain. Later, in the same year, for the Junior World Championships she won the bronze medal  and became the first athlete of U.S. to win 2 Junior World medals respectively in the same year. She started performing excel as a judoka in 2007, where she ranked amongst the top three women in the world in the 70 kg category, while she also bagged the gold medal at the Pan American Games and the silver medal at the World Judo Championships in the middleweight division in the same year itself.

Rousey is also the first U.S. woman who won a bronze medal in 2008 at the Summer Olympics in Beijing. Undoubtedly, she one of the most recognizable athletes in the world today. She is the former  Champion of UFC Women's Bantamweight, and the last Strikeforce Women's Bantamweight Champion.She bagged her fifth title in defense when defeated Cat Zingano in just  14 seconds at UFC 184 and of her, all 11 victories she bagged 10 in the first round itself and only one was extended till third round that fought against Tete. To no surprise, she has benchmarked herself by marking her position in the UFC’s top five pounds for (pound fighters), a list which is occupied by men. In 2014, she achieved 3 Wrestling Observer Newsletter awards, which are - "Most Outstanding Fighter," Best Box Office Draw, and MMA Most Valuable Fighter. Rousey has also gained high recognition as  an author, magazine cover model, actress, and a fashion icon.
