Born in Glasgow, Kelly MacDolnald is a Scottish actress, whose career in acting started when she was a bartender in Glasgow. It might as well be fate calling out to her when she saw a flyer regarding an open casting audition and decided to try out for the part of Diane, a young seducer to Ewan McGregor’s Renton. She was also a part of “Two Family House”, “Finding Neverland”, “Gosford Park”, and “Intermission”, the last two being some of the most important projects of her acting career. She was “Mary” in the BBC radio drama, “Lifehouse” in the year 1999; some of the songs of this radio show were launched on “The Who’s” upcoming album, “Who’s Next”. Some of the popular television shows which she has been a part of and best identify her are, “State of Play” in the year 2003, and “The Girl in the Café” in the year 2005.

For her brilliant enactment in “The Girl in the Café”, she earned a nomination in the “Golden Globe Awards” for “Best Actress- Miniseries or Television Film” in the year 2006. However, she did win a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Miniseries or a Movie. Kelly McGillis was born in California, U.S. on 9th July 1957. She is an actress by profession and is in the industry since 1983. Her mother, Virginia Joan is a house maker and her father, Dr. Donald Manson McGillis is a medicine practitioner. She received her primary education in Los Angeles and later graduated from Pacific Conservatory of the Performing Arts in Santa Maria, California. She has not only been a part of multiple films and drama roles but has also appeared in many TV series including Cold Shoulder, Black Widower, Perfect Prey, Dark Eyes, Remember Me, Sweet Revenge, Private Sessions, etc. Kelly resumed her movie career in 2010 where she acted in a vampire-themed movie, “Stake Island”. Kelly is a very famous star and has delivered various successful projects; her acting skills are excellent and promising. In 1979, Kelly married Boyd Black but after three years of their marriage, they decided to call it off since their understanding was poles apart. In 1982, two men broke into Kelly’s apartment while she was living there with her girl friend, they were assaulted, abused, this incident inspired her to play the role of a lawyer in the 1988 release, “The Accused”. Kelly’s life is filled with difficulties where she doubted about her sexuality even after having married twice, but in 2010 she announced that she is a lesbian. She currently resides in North Carolina and is a tutor at the New York Studio.
