Emily Watson

Emily Watson is an actress of English origin, born on 14 January 1967 in Islington, London. Her mother, Katherine is an English teacher and Father Richard Watson, an architect. She completed her degree in Bachelor of Arts from the University of Bristol. Emily got married to actor and writer, Jack Water (whom she met at the Royal Shakespeare Company) in 1995 and they have two children named Juliet and Dylan. After completing her graduation, she trained at the Drama Studio in London for two years and later received an M.A, from the Bristol University. She started her career on stage and joined the Royal Shakespeare Company in 1992. Her Theater credits include ‘The Children’s Hour’ at the Royal National Theater, A Jovial Crew’ and ‘The Taming of the Shew’ at the Royal Shakespeare Company. Emily got appointed as an officer of the Order of British Empire (OBE) in the 2015 New Year Honours for services to Drama. She is a committed supporter of the National Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC), a children’s charity.
