In 2005, Isa represented England in Women’s Cricket World Cup that was held in South Africa. England’s Fastest Blower has played 7 Test Matches, 20 T20 and 80 ODI matches for England Women Cricket Team. Due to her marvellous performance in Test Cricket held in the year 2002 against India, she was rewarded as ‘BBC Asian Sports Personality of the Year’. With her excellent performance and World Cup winner for One Day and T20, Isa Tara Guha was ranked as ‘No.1 Bowler in the ICC Women’s One-Day International Rankings’ in 2009.She was also awarded as three-times Ashes winner. Isa Guha has also represented Home teams like Thames Valley, Berkshire and England Women International Cricket Team. Isa took retirement from international cricket on 9th March 2012, although she will be playing for Berkshire County Cricket Team. Isa’s career didn’t stop here because of her international appeal she was given a lifetime opportunity, which made her the first women to comment on India Test Series for Star Sports. She was also given a chance to summarise on men’s international fixtures for BBC Test Match special.
Due to her tremendous career in England Women’s Cricket team, she was given a chance to represent Caribbean, ESPN US, and global coverage of ICC Cricket World Cup in Australia. Isa writes a column for BBC and in April 2012, she joined ITV Sports. She also hosts ITV’s coverage of Indian Premier League. Most recently Isa was one of four female commentators for IPL 2015.
