Cassie Ventura

Casandra Elizabeth Ventura, popularly known as Cassie, born on August 26, 1986, in Connecticut, New London. She is a dancer, recording artist, actress, and model. She attended the Williams School, at Connecticut. Cassie’s mother is West Indian, Mexican and, African-American, and her father is Filipino. At age fourteen, Cassie started modelling, and by 16 years, she had been a model for local department stores. Cassie made her debut in a music video R&B singer Mario’s Just a friend in 2002. 

With encouragement from the producer Rock Wilder, she took vocal classes. Cassie stepped out high school in 2004; she got into the New York City. Cassie then released her debut album which not only stood at four but also featured at top of the three the Billboard Hot 100 hit with "Me & U”. Unfortunately, all failed to score a hit in the USA. Besides, Cassie signed a contract with modelling agency Wilhelmina Models and One Management. She had been a model for Calvin Klein one and featured in popular magazines including GQ and Bust for a while. She appeared in advertisements for Delia's, Adidas, A&F, Seventeen, Clean, and Clear. Cassie became beloved to many by setting up the trend among women of shaving their hair. She sang her lead single “Is it you” to the movie Step Up in the soundtrack in 2007 which peaked at 85th on Canadian Hot 100 and 52nd in the UK.

She came on silver screen in the film in Step Up 2: The Streets in 2008 for the first time. Later, Cassie tweeted about her second studio album's title Electro Love. Her further tweets spoke that she had been recording few songs in the studio. Hit Quarters interviewed her later, in October 2010, where she revealed that she had recorded around fifty songs. On February 14, 2012, Cassie released a single with an official video, King of Hearts, in the USA.

On April 24, 2012, she performed live for the first time with four dancers at BET's 106 & Park music video show. The performance got on to worldwide trending topic list on Twitter. The song Balcony featuring Young Jeezy aired on September 18, 2012, on the radio stations of U.S urban. Later in 2012, she announced that she had been working on her album and Rock A Bye Baby, a new mixtape got into everyone’s phone April 11th, 2013 and grabbed the name best of mixtapes that year by Dazed and Confused.

Later, her boyfriend Sean Diddy Comb announced his come back to production and stated that he would be producing Cassie’s second studio album. Meanwhile, Cassie revealed her comeback to acting, her lead role in the movie “The Perfect Match” released on March 11th, 2016.
