‘The Perfect Match’ is a rom-com movie for light watches. Want to binge watch and need something light? Or had a hectic day and you want to laugh it all out? Then this movie is here to pick you up! Using his charms and flirtatious personality he sways Eva (played by Cassie Ventura Casandra Elizabeth Ventura, popularly known as Cas >> Read More... ) to have a relationship with him. She is a girl, always committed in long-term relations, but for once she wants to try out the short, no-strings-attached fling and agrees to do it with Charlie. Analysis

Directed by Billie Woodruff, this romedy is quite a predictable one. “It’s one of the typical movies which start with a one-night stand, end in marriage and spends energy on curing a lothario.” It’s a rather slow moving movie with choppy and undistinguished dialogues. However, there are sub-plots of the supporting characters which makes this movie better than the rest. In spite of having a few loop-holes in its story-line, this movie is good for light laughs and for relaxing.

Star Performances

Charlie (Terrence J) did a fair job to the role of being a playboy, and his friends Victor (Robert Riley) and Rick ( Donald Faison Donald Faison was born on 22nd June 1974 in the ci >> Read More... ) provide some hilarious points in the movie. The character portrayal of Victor earning less than his future-wife Ginger is beautifully and humorously done. Meanwhile Rick and Pressie (played by Dascha Polanco Dascha Polanco was born on 3rd September 1982 in D >> Read More... ) who are trying to get a baby are portrayed in a worrisome yet hilarious manner in which their sex-life becomes nothing better than work. Meanwhile, Cassie Ventura who plays Eva is shown to have a maxim wardrobe with nothing else needed in it. Overall, all the characters and cast are appealing in equal weights.

What’s there?

1. The dialogues of the lead actor and his friends are so hilarious that they almost edge on hysteria.

2. The plot twist which forces Charlie to plunge into the world of darkness and despair is unexpected, which gives a welcome break to the otherwise expected monotonous rom-com.

What’s Not There?

1. The flow is not smooth, and the movie has more secondary plots than it needs.

2. The movie is quite generic with too many characters, and there is not much originality in it.

Verdict

If you are looking for a date film, just want to binge watch or have a hard laugh, ‘The Perfect Match’ is the perfect film to suit your needs.
