Ahney Her

Whitney Cua Her or better known as Ahney Her is an American actress who has acted in movies like Night Club and Gran Torino. She was born in 1992 in Lansing, Michigan and hails from Hmong descent.  She did her high schooling from Sexton High School, and also, she attended a local talent school where she learned drama for three years.  Her life was changed when she answered an open casting call sign-up at a school soccer match. The open call was precisely for the persons hailing from Hmong descent. She thought the call to be informal and refused to believe that out of all the people a person from Hmong descent will get selected.  Later to her surprise, she was called in for an audition and got selected for a role in a film directed by Clint Eastwood He is a legendary actor and considered to be the m >> Read More... . She was only a teenager at the time of the shooting.  In the movie, she plays the role of a Hmong-American girl, Sue Lor. She portrays a strong, independent girl with a streetwise and witty personality. 

Ahney told in an interview that she first met Clint Eastwood at the film set on the first day of production. She further added that she was very nervous for the shoot,  but Eastwood calmed her by saying that do what you have to do and just be yourself. The film hit the theaters in 2008 and was a big success. Ahney Her got so popular in Michigan that people flooded towards her to have her autograph or get a picture clicked with her. After being acted in such a big movie, she remained level- headed and completed her studies.
