Liu Yifei

Liu Yifei is a Chinese model, actress and singer. Liu was born in Wuhan Hubei as An Feng. Liu is the only child to her parents. She was born to An Shaokang, a University professor in French language and also first secretary in France as Chinese Embassy and to Liu Xialoi who is a stage performer and dancer by profession. When she was 10, her parents got divorced and later she grew up solely with her mother. Then the same year Liu adopted her mother’s name and started modeling and learning singing, playing piano and dancing. Liu and her mother shifted to New York City when she was 11 and studied there at Louis Pasteur Middle School 67. In 2002, she came back to China to pursue a career in acting. She got admitted to Beijing Film Academy’s Performance Institute at fifteen years of age and got graduated in 2006. Immediately after her admission in the institute she started receiving offers for television series.

Her debut on television came with The Story of a Noble Family. Soon after she was asked to play the role of Wang Yuyan in series named Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils which was a n adaptation of a novel with the same name written by Louis Cha. In 2005, Yifei starred in Chinese Paladin portraying Zhao Ling'er. Chinese Paladin was an adaptation of The Legend of Sword and Fairy. Then in 2006, she acted in The Return of the Condor Heroes which was again an adapted series from Louis Cha’s novel. There were many speculations for the role which was finally bagged by Liu Yifei. She also received a recording contract by Sony Music Entertainment Japan in the year 2005. She sung her first single Mayonaka no Door in 2006 with Sony Music.
