Ruby Rose

Ruby Rose, originally known as Ruby Rose Langenheim, is a model, television personality, actress, and a DJ, from Australia. Rose is also the public face of Maybelline New York in Australia. She is also known for her roles in “Around the Block” and “Orange is the New Black.” Born to Katia Langenheim, in Melbourne, Rose pursued her education at the University High School, Melbourne and at the Footscray City College. Rose is also the great-granddaughter of the Australian Army veteran, Alec Campbell. In 2007, Rose competed in the hunt for Australia’s next MTV VJ, where she faced more than two thousand co-contestants and was declared as the winner at the end of the show. Rose replaced Lyndsey Rodrigues after the latter pocketed the opportunity to host the television show, “Total Request Live.” Rose had to drink 100 shots of beer in the short time span of 100 minutes, during a task assigned to the show. Rose was presented with an ASTRA Award for the Best Female Personality. In 2009, Rose co-hosted “The 7 pm Project” alongside James Mathison, Dave Hughes, Carrie Bickmore, and Charles Pickering.
